Bridgwater Forest Townhome style Condominium’s
Winnipeg’s Premiere geothermal Condominium opportunity

A leader among developers for environmental stewardship and energy efficient building, StreetSide again takes the initiative by offering potential owners a select number of geothermally heated and cooled townhomes, making Bridgwater Forest Condominiums Winnipeg's premiere geothermal condominium opportunity. In addition, the project will feature high-efficiency electric furnaces (as an alternative to geothermal if the purchaser wishes), triple pane windows and tightly sealed building envelopes.

Here's how it works

  1. The sun's energy is stored just below the ground.
  2. A ground "loop" (buried piping system) extracts the heat from the earth.
  3. A geothermal heat pump concentrates the energy and releases it inside the house.
  4. For cooling the house in the summer, the process is simply reversed.

The Manitoba government is now offering exciting incentives of up to $3,000 to homeowners and commercial building owners for geothermal installations. This proven technology could save up to 70 per cent on your annual heating costs.

The Building's Commercial Power Smart Designation Consists of the Following Green Features:

Geothermal

Ground water geothermal system for heating and cooling all fresh air supply for the building. The geothermal system consists of an open well system circulating water from the aquifer below site. The geothermal system will significantly reduce the costs of heating the cooling for the building.

Windows

  • Vinyl windows to be triple pane with argon gas fill, and a Low-E coating
  • Windows to meet a Power Smart standard with a U-Value less than 1.40.
  • Balcony doors to meet a Power Smart standard and are dual glazed with argon gas fill and a Low-E coating

Lighting

Energy efficient light fixtures in common areas will meet Power Smart requirements.
